Pipeline Maintenance

If the debris or unnecessary components are left unchecked, they will become internal deposits & build up on the walls of the pipelines & will severely restrict the flow resulting compromised throughput. These deposits can further be the most complex hence removal and mitigation is a challenging task. Synertek Engineers apply a conceptual approach to address the maintenance cleaning requirements. Maintenance pigging can be achieved by running pigs with hydrocarbon product Or Gaseous Nitrogen. Sometimes specialized pigging trains are designed as per pipeline current state or internal/external condition. These specialized trains may involve water, hydrocarbon liquids or batches of chemicals, these solutions are designed as per specific requirement by qualified Synertek engineers.

Maintenance Pigging is designed generally using mechanical pigs in routine run through operational pipeline sections to address deposit issues.

Gel Pigging is best suited when heavy deposits on the pipelines are causing throughput issues. Synertek engineering teams design the gel pigging trains according to estimated debris which will carry all debris along with gel slugs from one end to the other and successfully cleans the operational pipelines.

Chemical Cleaning offers superb results when black powder and rust are causing product contaminations. Highly effective chemical cleaning trains with mechanical pigs are designed on operational pipelines to get desired results.

Decruding of pipeline sections is required when operator wish to carry out any maintenance works on the aging pipelines or when require to connect any new section with existing.

Degassing operation is to support operating companies to remove gas from pipeline sections where they wish to perform maintenance. Synertek provides solutions using mechanical pigs and gaseous nitrogen.

Decommissioning is required sometime to perform maintenance or abandoning the pipelines after completion of design life. Synertek engineers support customers in safe and well engineered decommissioning of pipeline system.
